At which point you now have a choke point which will require less judicious marksmanship

As said I'm guessing the casualty and injuries were so high because of the penetration of the .223 at that close of range. 1 bullet may of hit 4+ people, I mean shoot into a dance floor from 15 feet and it would be discustingly destructive. Throw a small bomb onto a dance floor and it would be worse though.

29 Killed in China Knife attack.

50 killed/ knife attacks

If someone or a group of people really want to kill a large group of people, they can do it.

A 20 rd drum loaded with buckshot would be way more devastating and deadly than a 30 rd mag loaded with 5.56 at close quarters. 3 drums would probably equal 100+ dead

Go shoot 100+ rounds out of buckshot from a 12 gauge and tell me how your shoulder feels...
I don't think I could even physically fire 100 rounds of #8 bird shot in 3-4 hours.
The AR-15 has much less recoil.

I'd much rather pack around a handful of 30 round AR mags than 100 rounds of 12 gauge shells.

Does anyone on the OT realize buckshot really doesn't spread that much at a 10-20 ft. range?

Meh, its not that hard. Did a gentlemens pheasant hunt in England when I was a kid. fired about 250 rounds or so from a SxS with a guy loading as fast as I was firing with a second gun

I never said Australia solved it's violent crime by banning guns. I just said statistically, gun related deaths have gone down. One can even argue that it was on a downward trend anyway, but statistically, they have nearly been cut in half since 1996. That's just a fact.

quote:

Wiping out guns? If you had a clue you'd know Australia has as many guns now than they ever did before the 1996 laws. More actually. They still have shootings too

And Australia overwhelmingly confiscated the types of guns you can own. Basically single shot shotguns and rifles are all you are left with. I'm not at all for what they did. But you are retarded if you don't think that taking away most guns will not reduce gun statistics. There may be a short uptick right after due to criminals becoming a little bold knowing the public isn't armed. But as time goes on, and guns slowly go out of service and can't be replaced since the easy avenue of obtaining one legally has gone away, there will be less on the streets. It has happened there. I'm not saying it makes for a better society. I'm not saying it's right. But if you look at gun deaths plain and simple, they've gone down. They may have been replaced by stabbings or some other form of homicide, but they've gone down. You can only argue your point when you aren't ignorant to the situation yourself. Trying to find some biased point in statistics is very easy to counter argue. Just tell them for what they are.

Never to someone like you who will boldly lie to make a point.

Now you can kindly frick yourself. I never once stated I was for any gun ban. I've got rifles, shotguns, handguns, and an AR. I had my concealed license in the past. I fully believe in the importance of me being able to keep my gun. Someone else committing a crime should have no bearing on the reasoning behind the rights to me having those firearms. But I'm not stupid enough to try to spin statistics either. I'm not dumb enough to think that criminals would get their hands on guns at the same rate they do now if guns were severely AND successfully restricted and "bought back". Black market guns would go down if legal guns went down. Since most black market guns are just stolen legal guns. Not enough crack heads on the street have legit contacts to gun smugglers. But again, that's all besides the point. I still think that has no bearing on my right to own. Just not ignorant enough to overlook it.
