Everyone’s aware that the construction on Hwy 42 is a state project and AP isn’t involved, right?

I was just thinking last night to myself. I thought "Self, I wonder if some in Ascension Parish are actually trying to improve their road network?"

Dadgumit, here's my answer.

The O-T never disappoints.

A better OT discussion: AP vs LP....which is less trashy? Which would win in a war? Which is a better suburb?

But such a fast efficient & effective project expansion was completed on Hwy 73 a few years ago.

Built with absolutely no foresight.

Surprised no one has brought up the new interchange proposed at Cornerview. Such a bad idea.

I-10 was widened from Highland to 73 which included completely replacing the Highland Road Overpass bridges.

And they did it in 3 yrs. Let that shite sink in.

Hwy 42 has homes and business with utilities and sewerage that needed to be installed, upgraded and relocated. 1-10 btw highland road and 73 had none of that.

Need a better comparison for your argument.

I don't know about that. Replacing Interstate bridges at a very busy intersection is no small task. And and they had to clear out the entire stretch of trees and do some major
earth moving on the westbound side.

They need to keep going all the way to Burnside IMO.

Are they going to leave the Hwy 42 curb 3 inches higher than the road, like it is now?? shite almost broke my wheel turning into McDonald’s. It’s already not draining well because the drains are above the road. I don’t understand that.

Definitely happy to FIFY there baw . It was nothing short of a miracle that the i10 expansion was completed in the three years or whatever it took. Thats what happens when the right palms get greased.
