I'm looking to get a roughly 8' x 6' shed installed in my backyard. Has anyone installed one of these? Do I have it built or by a prefab? Do I have to lay a slab? Any input is appreciated.

They sell them at Home Depot.
Not too hard to get decent plans online.
Don't need a slab-
Try outdoor board if serious

I picked up a Suncast from HD, it's roughly this size. Went up quick. There are instructions that come with it for building a foundation if you do not have one poured or existing.

That's pretty small. I'd say 24x24 insulated, steel building.

on a shed that small, I would just go and buy one of the pre-fabricated ones from somewhere like Sears...I would certainly have a small slab laid and would probably put that on a few inches of packed fill dirt to be sure it never flooded.

and as someone else said, be sure to check with your homeowner's assoc to be sure they don't make you tear it down after you put it up.

For everyone saying I need a bigger shed - believe me I wish I had the room for it. I live in the Lower Garden District in New Orleans and only have limited space in my backyard. On the flip side, I'm fortunate not to have to deal with any HOAs.

Some Parishes are cracking down on those sheds. Even a year after they are built Code Enforcement want what's theirs.

yup

6x8 TUFF SHED, do a search for them in your area

custom matched the color to match the home...nice job

it was built on lot, no complaints other than wishing it was 6x10
