Shaving with well water

I was staying at my company's shop in west Texas last week. I shaved with a brand new razor and it felt like I was sawing my face off and cut myself in several spots. I got home last night and shaved this morning with the exact same razor because it's my last one, and it felt like a brand new razor, smooth and no cuts. Exact same razor and same shaving cream, only difference is they have well water over there. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Not sure if its the well water, but I have been cutting my face pretty badly with a safety razor since I moved in to the new place with well water. Not sure what else changed, but I gouged the shite out of my chin last time and had to sit at dinner with a napkin on my chin for the first hour

I've shaved with well water for 90% of my life and never noticed a difference the other 10% of the time.

It's been 2 years but yes. Always had rough shaves with well water.

I have well water and no problem shaving.

Start walking down to the creek bank and shave your face with a knife and creek water like a man.

Normally every other day. I only shaved once last week because I didn't feel like sawing my face off again so it was actually longer this morning.
It's not the first time I've stayed there but the first time I had this problem

When I've had that problem at places, I find that if I boil the water and let it sit for a while in a cup, and use that water to dip the razor in..it's worked better for me.
Sometimes also directly after a very hot shower.

decided to go with a smaller company. pay isn't what it was last time but job security here will be pretty good. they are already trying to convince me to go into their RTOC facility because of my versatile background.

I have well water. fricking egg fart flavored. My house reeks for hours after I take a shower.

Haha I actually love it now. Wife would move back to LC in a heart beat, but my arse is staying in Katy!
