I just re-read the first couple of pages. I honestly can't believe how many people think Bruce Lee would beat Mike Tyson. Blows my mind.
it's rumored that when he was an amateur guys would drop fights so they wouldn't have to face him. people were legit terrified and justifiably so.

the only guy who beat him as an amateur Tyson dropped him as a pro in the first round. he was undefeated for 6 years, but the first 3 years of that run, i don't think there is or was anyone on the planet that wanted a piece of him.

I remember being genuinely scared of Tyson when I was a kid in the 80s.

i'd be scared to take a hit from any professional fighter in any weight class...but if i knew i would be taking a hit from Tyson that would feel like a death sentence

didn't he punch a guy in one of those hangover movies? imagine being that guy because Tyson's reputation is such you gotta be wondering if he's going to legit knock you the frick out.

My answer: Tyson

Buddy's answer: Lee

What say you OT?

Chuck Norris and I'm serious. Norris was an actual Karate Champion, Lee was just on TV.

I bet he still sits on his torn afghan couch and brags to his grandchildren about it

I know I would

Thinking Bruce Lee is a better fighter than Mike Tyson, is like saying John Wayne is a better cowboy than Wyatt Earp.

That's a very good analogy.

if I dropped Tyson, it would be the first thing I tell people when I meet them

if Tyson dropped me, it would be the first thing I tell people when I meet them

that's how awesome I think he was.

How much would it take for you to take a shot from current Tyson, glove on, to the face? I won't ask about prime Tyson because that could be a death blow.
I'm gonna need at least 20k.

A lot more than 20k

Do I get a guarantee that he won't climb on top of me and keep hitting me?

I'm not saying that I am...i just really wouldn't want to get punched in the face by someone that big who is famous for being one of the best at punching people in the face

If I started a thread Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson vs prime Bruce Lee, I wonder how many people would pick Lee.

You would have to be blindfolded. No flinching.

It would definitely make it easier. But the damage would be greater.

at what point is someone's size insurmountable? I don't know a lot or even a little about MMA or boxing, but what fighters do you know of that could kick the shite out of say...andre the giant. not the guy with mobility and medical issues, at his peak of size, strength and whatever athleticism he may have had

I know wrestling is fake, but all of those dudes are big and not exactly pussies, and they all say they were scared shitless of being on his bad side.

wouldn't that make it worse?

average joes have killed average joes with one punch. some dude from a crowd killed Houdini with a punch to the midsection...

I don't think there is any way in hell I would let a professional fighter take a free shot at my face. not that there is anything I could do about it if they wanted to hit me.
