Call doc office in the morning. Tell them you ran out and are feeling symptoms

I don’t know what pharmacy you use, but I have gotten emergency supply of a few pills from Walgreen’s a few times over the years.

Pharmacist can’t give you the meds without a valid prescription. Call your doc and speak with his nurse. You’ll be more likely to get somewhere. Worst case, go to urgent care and let them know the situation and when your next scheduled appointment is and ask if they would be able to write a prescription until then.

You can try. It’s at the pharmacist’s discretion whether they provide an emergency supply. Some will, some won’t. I advise finding the oldest pharmacist you can. The ole ones simply DGAF about regulations and if you strike out, keep looking until you find one. Good luck.

Your regular pharmacy should give you a 2-3 day supply of a maintenance med. At least that is what I used to do when I practiced.

I understand that, I was just doing some research this afternoon that said it might be possible and I came here to seek some validity to it.

I feel for you, friend.

Call your doctor and let them know that you need a refill ASAP. They should be able to get that Rx approved and off to the pharmacy within 1-4 hours.

Keep on keeping on.

Ya, ur general doc should be able to help too if u can’t get emergency supply. U shouldn’t suddenly stop taking an antidepressant.

I asked if they could refill my prescription and they said they couldn't without seeing the doctor first.
If you're an established patient this is bullshite on their part. Call again.

Get that Rx ASAP. Effexor can be brutal after a few days without it. After you get it, talk to Dr and find something else not as hard on withdrawals (there are withdrawal symptoms and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise). I feel for you bc I went thru it. Vitamin B and D, lots of Gatorade zero. Melatonin for sleep. Get on Zoloft or Wellbutrin. They are both much easier to go a few days without. I’m sorry you are going through this but stay grounded. Take off work until you can get refill.

This. They should write you a short term script or have you come in and get some samples.
