The "hard R" distinction is just soo fricking pointless and irrelevant.

The problem is that what does this "argument" achieve? Do you have a desire to drop N-bombs like the lady in OP? If not, why do you care so much about a double-standard with this word in particular?

Ah, yes the good ole' why do you care. Because all should be held equally to the same standard. How hard is that to understand. Wrong is wrong no matter which way it goes.

I'm not going to muddy up this thread with the HUNDREDS of incidents where black people in power go full racist retard and don't suffer the same consequences as whites, but here's one:

Racist black teacher, she is still a teacher....

Only a c on z level retard reads this thread and see defense of racism.

Look, I completely understand why you're trying to avoid this, which is why you're being so dismissive of reality.

Just proves my point in my previous message about how this is a stupid hill to create to die on, especially since it has a high likelihood of eliminating your voice on any related issue where actual progress could be made.

Avoid what? You claiming racism where it doesn't exist? I've addressed that head on

Why do you care about equality so much with this particular word?

Are you referring to using the N-word?

There are probably multiple reasons behind it, but I suspect a primary one, especially here in the south, is that white people don't want to think of themselves or their ancestors as "bad" people for saying a word that their parents used, their grandparents used, and in some cases they continue to use. It's easy for people identify with the secretary, and admitting it might get them labeled racist. (Not judging here - just stating an observation).

What the frick is this bullshite? You think hard R's are only dropped in the south?

Go back and read my comment - tell me WHERE do I say that. Exactly.

Growing up, a good friend of mine’s parents were from Boston. They were racist as hell.

Forced bussing in Boston was headline news.

quote:

In Boston, Massachusetts, opposition to court-ordered school “busing” turns violent on the opening day of classes. School buses carrying African American children were pelted with eggs, bricks, and bottles, and police in combat gear fought to control angry white protesters besieging the schools.

U.S. District Judge Arthur Garrity ordered the busing of African American students to predominantly white schools and white students to black schools in an effort to integrate Boston’s geographically segregated public schools. In his June 1974 ruling in Morgan v. Hennigan, Garrity stated that Boston’s de facto school segregation discriminated against black children. The beginning of forced busing on September 12 was met with massive protests, particularly in South Boston, the city’s main Irish-Catholic neighborhood. Protests continued unabated for months, and many parents, white and black, kept their children at home. In October, the National Guard was mobilized to enforce the federal desegregation order

Funny when discussing sins of racist behavior, our Enlightened progressives who piss on the South never bring this one up.

Something tells me this may be the first time they've ever heard about it, if they're under 40 years of age.

I'll give you it isn't exact, but you most certainly imply that the south if more racist than the north with the words you chose. It's laughably naïve.

In white culture it’s a bad word especially when used (as it was in this context) in a hurtful, racist manner “N*ggar (sic ) holiday” isn’t the same as a black guy calling his friend a “dumbass n*gga” or something

Bunch of black dudes using a word spelled differently and used in their culture as a synonym for “bro” isn’t the same. Black people calling other blacks that word aren’t trying to be racist
