Same happened to me every summer. My brown hair would almost go to blond from working all day in the summer sun and I had a tan George Hamilton could only hope to get.
I got so dark in the summer my cousins started calling me "Nig" for a nickname.

Wasn’t my first job, but the summer after I took elementary surveying I was an instrument man on a survey party. I felt sorry for the HS student clearing the line of sight, and the party chief was adamant that I stay with the transit the whole time.

Got a night job cleaning the floors at local Walmarts. This was a 3rd party cleaning company before Walmart was 24 hrs.
