Good on you if for being responsible but I can’t imagine owning a dog that I had or felt like I needed to take precautions with.
That just sounds stressful. And there are just SO many awesome dog breeds that I’d choose from before I’d get a pit(id never get a pit).
Well, like I said it was a rescue. We foster dogs and he was one of them. We never gave him up because we didn't trust him being with any irresponsible owners. We've had him for about 4 years now, no issues. When we got him, he was incredibly emaciated. Probably weighed 30 pounds or so. Whelps all over him from excessive fleas and scratching. He clinged to us the moment we got him, knowing we'd feed him. Now, he's a healthy 60 pound dog.
And no, he's not our first choice of dogs, but IMMO he deserves his chance to live a normal life.

Like the Democrats are the party of crime, pit bulls are the dog breed of crime.
Scum.
Scum.

Except that trashy people like them more, like neck tattoos or names that aren’t pronounced like they are spelled.
Therefore even though one of those might not
Make someone an outright bad person, the likelihood increases dramatically,
So the likelihood of pit bulls to be dangerous is exponentially increased because of their likelihood of being raised by a shithead
This.
But to say the breed itself is dangerous is just false.
They are called the 'nanny breed' in England because they are so good with children. Makes sense because fighting dogs that showed human aggression were culled from the lineage. No dog handler wants to get bit by their own dog or have them leave the pit to go after bettors.
Problem is the caliber of people in England that own pits isnt the same caliber of people in the US that usually own pits.
Blame the owners not the dog.
