So, you didn't actually save the dog because you never got out of your truck. The pits came back and killed the lab is the rest of the story. Well done.

Had a 100 pound lab stop a charging pit from attacking me. They went round and round. I hit the pit with a 2x4 and ran. The lab escaped with nothing but a bitten ear. Thank God for that dog.
