I'll have a chance for a round next Thursday and was looking for some recs. I have a car and could potentially drive a bit out of town if it's worth it. I've never been to area.

Thanks!

Such an amazing response! Your use of the quote function is great. Unfortunately for you, your humor really needs some polishing.

Thought savannah quarters was private? We used to play out there with some guys from Gulfstream.

The course across the bridge from downtown is not bad. I've played a few charity tourneys there.

Savannah Harbor is the one at the Westin across from downtown. Nice but a little over priced and the gnats will eat you alive this time of year. Use to have Sr. tour event there until a few years ago.

Lots of options in Hilton Head-Port Royal is one of my favorites, 3 very different courses to choose from. Indigo Run is nice. I've heard good things about Hilton Head National (actually in Bluffton) but haven't played there. Of course Sea Pines is popular but next week is the Heritage PGA stop so it will be crawling with people and the Harbor Town course is closed.

If you don't mind the drive, the course at Parris Island is one of the best in the area...

There is one at Hunter, and it isn't a bad one, either - but the one at Parris Island is by far heads and shoulders above...
