Yeah, I don't see them wanting to stop Gunther's momentum with a Royal Rumble loss.

A DQ loss has zero impact on Gunther’s momentum.

If he can survive having his first loss on the main roster being to Sami Zayn he can survive a DQ or regular loss to AJ Styles.

And I doubt Styles contract is legitimately up in February. They extended contracts all the time due to injury time and AJ has had significant amount of injury time the last 3 or so years.

This will be his last year, but it’s too soon for it.

He signed a short extension last year, I don't know if he wants to sign another one. But then again, does a good Christian boy from Georgia want to end his career in Saudi Arabia?
