I’m taking a guess that payroll fraud was involved, probably along the lines of one guy clocking in for all three expecting a slow day then the shite hit the fan.

This stuff really pisses me off. I worked at a place that had shift work and weekend work. There was a guy who was there just to get a pay check. He wanted no responsibility. At night or the weekends the bastard would just leave and take a couple hours+ for lunch. The bosses did nothing because they were afraid of a lawsuit..I hated having anything to do with this guy.
