I ate curry in the airport there 
on the way back I was certain I was going to have accident by the time I got to miami...nothing perfectly fine. The wife was watching me like a science experiment

If that really is their policy than that would turn me off from wanting to stay there.
Why would I want to stay someplace that dictates that I'm not allowed to tip someone that gave me excellent service?

Joe Knows tours is the best thing you can do in St Lucia. it seems sketchy at first but it is awesome

ATV excursion was awesome. You got to ride through the hills and down on a secluded beach, which both made for some amazing views. Don't do the waterfall bike ride unless you (specifically, your wife) are in good shape. A good portion of the ride was up a pretty steep incline and about half of the group had to stop and ride the van to the top. However, swimming in the waterfall was pretty awesome and the way down the hill was pretty damn fun as well.

be careful when outside the walls of the resort. Otherwise any of those are a blast. ALl inclusive so get your money's worth. Drink, drink, drink

I went there 12 years ago so I don't remember what to tell you however I do remember one night we went to town to this local block party bought some good weed and got high as frick. It's about all I can remember from that trip

This will sound odd but, before you book any excursions. Go to the beach and find Elvis who is with "Son of Man Sea Tours." Book your excursion with him.
Google him. I think he is on trip advisor.
I've been on a bunch of tropical excursions and this was by far the best excursion I've ever been on. Cheaper than through the resort and was able to see and do alot more things than those who had booked through Sandals' excursions.

I planned on bringing cash to tip (guess I'll see if they're allowed to accept when the time comes) but I was just wondering how to tip people bringing you free drinks; at a bar I just tip at the end of the night on the bill but someone bringing drinks do you tip $1 a drink like at Harrah's in NOLA?
As for the excursions, I read about "Joes Knows" and reading some of the bad reviews I'm not sure that would be my cup of tea (loud Rastafarians making crude jokes about my soon-to-be wife, not a lot of time at the sights, asking for tips, etc.); we're in our late 20s but some of the reviews make it seem like it's annoying.
My fiancé wants to see the Volcano and the mud bath/waterfall sounds cool but I didn't know which excursions included these.
Did any of you that have been find the need to go on an excursion? We're there from Monday to Monday, I don't play golf, so just didn't know if things would get boring just sitting on the beach or if there are enough activities around the resort to keep us busy.

Joe' Knows will take you to all of those spots. Like I said earlier, we didn't do that one but everyone that we talked to enjoyed it. Check out youtube for some gopro footage of Joe Knows.

We were going to do 2 but canceled our second one because we were having a great time just hanging out at the resorts. They do a good job with activities and whatnot. I would book one when you get there and then decide how you want to spend your time once you get a feel for the resort.

What place is this? We're at the Regency La Toc and in a Caribbean oceanfront room.

With Elvis (Sea of Man Tours), we saw the volcano, the mud baths/waterfalls, snorkeled, went into town to shop, ate local at the tour guide's home and did it all by boat as opposed to going by Jeep like the excursion offered by the resort. Was a great way to see the island. Was a long day, but was a blast.
While on the boat he would also point out celebrities homes, like Howard Stern, Oprah, Mick Jagger, etc while giving us some nice history of St Lucia.

he's staying at Jade Mountain (not a Sandals resort)
ETA: it looks like those things are offered through the resort and are used as a promotion for booking your stay with them. Probably not going to be able to get that particular excursion unless you stay and Jade Mountain
