Hopefully they cleared the surrounding apartment units before they started blowing shite up. Imagine being the apt next door, above, or below.

They say it's ongoing, but visually, it looks like they're standing down.

Sky News clarifying that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspect of this raid, was believed to have been in Syria, and isn't one of the two man that have been on the run in the last few days. This raid is separate from the manhunt for those two involved. It's unclear if the two men on the run were the ones killed earlier today. /u/LetsFindTheseGuys

These classic neighborhoods are combination commercial/residential. Commercial on the ground floor, access stairways to apartment lofts. All you really would be worried about is next door and across the streets. But yeah, I am sure they moved residents out of nearby lofts.

3 suspects arrested, 3 killed.
Nicely done, France.

These guys who talk others into blowing themselves up are pussies. He may be one of the dead from the shoot out, but he won't off himself if he's the last one in the standoff imo.

This is the latest from AP: 8:40 a.m. A French police official says a woman wearing an explosive suicide vest has blown herself up in a standoff between police and suspects in last week's Paris attacks. The official said she is among two people killed in the ongoing standoff in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. The official, not authorized to be publicly named because of police rules, said four police officers have been injured. No hostages are being held. Police have said the operation Wednesday is targeting the suspected orchestrator of last week's attacks, holed up in an apartment in Saint-Denis with other armed people. /u/appapplereviewer

Still a suspect in the building?

I would run a chainsaw at one of those mf. I bet they'll speak up and say what they know.

In all seriousness the guy probably has a suicide vest. Tight quarters makes this type of resolution difficult. They should be thinking about launching gas, I guarantee they are just trying to keep him at range. With gas he'd either blow himself up or pass out. Issue with that is you'd need a window or some type of breach point to do it.
Depending on the priority of taking him alive this could go on for quite some time.

Now being reported 5 arrests, 2 suspects dead and 1 bystander dead as well. So number of arrests has recently gone up.

Looks like a police K9 was killed at the start of the raid.
