Never met the child, but have a distant connection. Before you ask, not my kid.

Seems like the right thing to do

I am thinking all white as a symbol of purity

Two years old. Playing in driveway with car backing up. :(

Terrible news.

Sorry to hear, white flowers in a spray.

The Funeral Home takes them to the Cemetery and then the family doesn't have one more thing to deal with.

The right middle-aged or older folks might prefer plants or vases with arrangements, not for a child.

Call a local family florist in the town of the child.

They will have many orders and will be able to suggest the right, non-repetitive flower or plant to express your sympathy.

Such a sad event. Good luck.

Friend did this to her 12 year old son. Tragic.

Just a plain in season on a stand is classic and classy. No need to try to overthink it. I never send plants because it is hard for people to do things with these. I always send a spray on a stand and I always tell the florist-especially if it is out of town that I will be there and I will look at them. I've had a couple of crappy ones before so make a point to tell them this.

One of my best friends cousins had the same thing happen to him. His grandma ran over their little 2 year old cousin right before they were going out for Christmas caroling. They have been on Oprah and Dr Phil multiple times to speak on how every car should have a back up cam. I don't remember any flowers for him though. They set up a foundation for him and build play grounds all around the community for kids now

My neighbors kids always play in my driveway and it's my nightmare that I will hit one of them. I always check before I back out. Horrible.

In my experience, if you call a florist and give them your price range and the circumstances (who it's for), they usually will offer suggestions for types of arrangements.

Terrible situation, and I hate reading that. Your suggestion in the OP seems pretty appropriate to me. But to be sure I'd ask a reputable local florist, I'm sure they've unfortunately seen this type of situation before and would know best. Again, sorry a family is having to go through this.
