My dad used to tell me stories of his earlier flying days on I THINK the RC135? He said there was a super long fiber optic radar cable they used to release out of the rear. They would fly right up to the edge of russian air space and whip it around. He said their warnings/alerts would light up within seconds 
He always said the weird/scary part of that was that US Intel had no military installations anywhere near the areas they would fly

I like my Heavies (T-29 and IS). But may be starting to realize the power of a quick light vehicle with strong gun (some of the AMX's).

Good point. I remember watching the news during the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and hearing how they were "quagmires" and casualties were mounting daily. I just had to shake my head and wonder how quickly those same people would have lost their minds if they'd been around in 1944 or 45.

Funny story. I was in a battle the other day. I was low tier (6-7). Our team got cleaned up pretty good. Battle was winding down.
Battle was down to 6-1 against our team. Or guy (SU -152-85, or something similar) killed 5 of the remaining 6 from the opposition, then went and capped. He got all 100 cap points and we won. Not sure if the final guy was afraid to attack, afk, or stuck somewhere. He ended the battle with 10 or 11 kills.
The opposition wasn't the smartest, they came at him one by one. A couple came in pairs but he still mannged to kill. Very impressive.

If you can stay hidden and have the right gun/turret...you can very easily clean the board by yourself with 5 or 6 remaining

That's the nature of that game, one guy can make a big difference. I really like the game I just wish they'd tone back the stupid RNG.

WE have teamspeak. I rarely get to take part in Clan Wars though because they happen right as it's time to put my daughter to bed. Majority of the time I fight alone in the pub matches and really just socialize with the other guys on the clan chat box in my garage. Most, but not all of the guys in my clan are old armor or cav vets like myself so we spend a lot of time telling old stories and reliving the glory days.
