Rush is closing the show by telling everyone he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. He said he plans to continue on with the show, but there will be days where he can't be on air.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure the celebratory comments are coming. Probably best to avoid liberals on social media if you don't want your day derailed by outrage. It's not representative of the real world anyway (or even representative of people who aren't fans of Rush).

According to Larry King, years ago at a Hollywood party over cocktails, Rush told Larry he’s conservative, but not overly as projected on the show. He said it was merely for ratings.

Won't be long hopefully longer than sooner before Kobe gets to welcome him at the pearly gates. Hopefully I have several years before I get to meet them both. My luck I'll be on the same team as Rush during the pickup basketball game against Kobe and Jesus.

I’m a conservative who never really cared for Rush’s show bc I felt he was more style than substance.
That said I have nothing but prayers for him and hope this is something he can come back from. Something I as an American I hope we are all still capable of thinking regardless of what letter is besides their name.

I'm guessing the ideology is pretty accurate, but the histrionics are partially for show.
