(WAFB) -
Both Louisiana families, the Rouses and the LeBlancs, have built successful grocery store chains. They are now combining forces to better serve the Gulf Coast area. All LeBlanc's locations will be re-branded as Rouses Markets.

The transition is expected to be complete in later October, bringing the total number of Rouses Markets to 54. The Rouse and LeBlanc families are longtime friends and share a common philosophy when it comes to their commitment to the community.

"This really is a perfect fit. We share very similar values. We have both built our businesses on quality, selection, service, and low prices. We are both strong community supporters. We are both dedicated to buying local and supporting local fishermen and farmers," said Donny Rouse, managing partner of Rouses Markets.

Found out a couple of weeks ago that Paul Leblanc was killed in an auto accident a few years ago. He was a good man.

Maybe that will get them big enough to get into Dallas.

I doubt it, but I enjoy visiting when I go to Foley, AL, great meats and deli

That's become my go-to store. It's taken me a year to learn where everything is located on the shelves. I hate getting used to a new grocery store.
