I can't understand why the roofer I dealt with wouldn't give me a quote to replace entire roof. They insisted I wait until insurance company decided what they would pay.
Just changed my roof 3 years before storm and I had 3 companies come by and give an estimate. What gives now?

I used Cypress Roofing out of Gonzales. Great experience and recommend bigly!
They tarped my roof after storm. Then had a project manager here when adjuster came to look. They pointed out non-roof related issues to adjuster that I hadn't noticed. Adjuster tried to hose me saying then 273 damaged shingles could be repaired for just under my deductible amount. Emailed Cypress the report and asked what was process for getting repair started. Two days later get a call from insurance company desk adjuster that said they were replacing whole roof, other repair items, and sending all the money upfront - no depreciation BS.
Turns out Cypress received that report and called and went ham on the adjuster. Negotiated all that out in two days for me. Id signed a contract allowing that. Contract basically stated they'd do it for ins amount if ins paid.
The roof they put on was awesome! Coastal Granite shingles look amazing. Replaced janky 3 tab with architectural at no addl cost. Fixed flashing issue and replaced some rotten decking. Communicated all that up front.

probably no insurance and definitely no work comp. he falls off your roof, he takes everything you own. good job.

Exactly, like I am going to give my hard earned money to some silver spoon radio guy who doesn't know jack about roofing but claims they are the model of integrity.
