Well, if you worked for JP you would know that the most recent Chief is from New Orleans, so is another
Chief that just joined. I personally have spoken to one of those men, so everything I share is fact.
Again, here’s more advice, just tell your friend/son to slow down. Those new chiefs are in the process of making changes that mirror New Orleans. The OT, the 365 renewal, etc...so I know they’re going to be on top public perception. Your man has a terrible reputation, by his own colleagues, and it’s not the posters here fault. Call them what you want, but your man made the bed.
Here’s more facts...the chief was emailed the story from Twitter (where it was initially posted) by someone close to a councilman too. TigerDroppings had zero effect on any decision or pressure. It had seen over 400,000 times before it hit this site. The decision was based on his overly use of the word N***** on Twitter, his past behavior within the department and his shenanigans (stabbing, shooting, acting like an idiot at Mardi Gras)
#1 Focus from a department - Public Perception. He’s a small fry in a world bigger than him. They have hundreds of guys ready to replace him.
And honestly those other firefighters don’t deserve to be represented by that kind of crap.
No ones fault but his. Seems as if they’re giving him a chance to redeem himself, and I’m all for that. Would hate to see someone lose such a coveted job by some.
