Nice. Really like that watch. I'm very tempted to pick up a 39.5.

Bought my sub used for 7k last year. It's about 14k now.

What are your thoughts on the IWC Aquatimer Automatic?
I liked the last iteration better with the option of different colored internal bezels.
I don't really like internal dive bezels because they take a little extra time to use. I time things fairly often with my dive watches or even my GMTs but rarely use my one internal bezel dive watch because it takes a little effort.
The Aquatimer Auto uses a moderately finished ETA 2892 which for a movement junky means the watch is overpriced but it is easily serviced by any watchmaker so it can be a positive.
The quick-change system is kinda cool.
I view IWC as a watch best bought used and let someone else take the depreciation.
All that said if YOU really like the watch get it, it is a solid watch even if overpriced... they all are depending on your POV. My choice would be the blue dial Cousteau model not because of the connection but I like the blue. It is a couple of hundred more and they may not offer it with a bracelet so it may be a nogo for some.

Took me a second to realize it wasn't a "standard" 1963.
The Seagull 1963 is one of those watches I think everyone should own at one time or another. The ST19 movement is actually a Venus 75 and is not just a stolen copy. Seagull actually bought the rights and machinery to build it from Venus. While it is a horizontal clutch it is by FAR the cheapest way to own a column-wheel chronograph and even with the rudimentary finishing, it is still lovely to look at especially when you understand what the parts are doing. The only real issue I have found is the click spring pops off, it is rare but infuriating since you have to take half the movement apart to get to it, even though it is "right there". I bought a raw movement to start playing with manual wind chronos. It is fully disassembled and has been for over 2 years, I have made 4 or 5 runs at it but it is just above my paygrade as of now.
One thing to note is if someone buys one make sure you get a REAL Seagull, it is counterfeited quite often. Long Island Watch would be my choice of a vendor even if you have to pay a few more bucks.
While I avoid Chinese goods as much as possible this is a watch with real history from a company that came by the IP properly.

If anyone is a vet and looking for a watch AAFES is having a 25% off all watch brands sale. They have Omega Seamasters and POs but like for the last 6 months or so no Speedmasters.
They are ADs for all the watches they sell. Note if you buy an Omega you might not get the wooden display box right away, I got a Seamaster on their last sale and it just came in the plastic coffin with all the papers. Omega is having supply issues with the boxes but they will come later. Fun fact watches shipped from manufacturers to dealers usually come separately from the display boxes.
ETA this is a weird thread to be anchored.
