Yeah I don't care if you want to use fb to sell your stuff. Just don't trick me and take advantage of my friendship in the process. And don't make EVERY SINGLE POST YOU MAKE on FB be about how "AMAZING" the latest skin product is.

+1.

I love the marketing though. "Rodan and Fields." They nailed trying to make it sound classy and exclusive.

But maybe you should not be on Facebook if that annoys you. Unfollow them.

So I'm supposed to get off Facebook because some stay at home mom who couldn't hack it in the real workplace but now she thinks she is a "business woman" cause she peddles skin cream online uses sketchy, deceiving tactics to gain clients??

You don't have to do anything. But you could just get over it. Stop fretting about it.

I've literally stopped speaking to a few people because it was like they had lost their minds.

So you see nothing wrong with those tactics?

You think it's totally ok to annoy and deceive people who are your family and friends to make sales because you couldn't get a real decent paying job?

if I walk into a department store I expect a salesperson to come try to sell me stuff. When I'm in the grocery store it'd be weird if that same salesperson came up and tried to get me to come to the department store

this doesn't seem hard to understand

I see wrong in advertising everyday. I want to watch reruns of Perfect Strangers on Crackle...but Pepsi and YMCA feel I need some schooling in soda and paying for Kid's clinics to help the unfortunate.

Doctors, drug dealers, car dealers, lawyers, etc. do this everyday. Who do you think annoys me more? Candy, who works from home and posts once a day on FB or Morris Bart? Who is more deceiving?

I don't know and I don't really care. NOne of my family and friends try to deceive me. Still, I am not sure that deception is the proper word here. Being self-centered, yes. Ignore them? Again, some women are still working and doing it.

It is funny to watch the progression with these women on fb.

First they are just normal woman on fb
Then they start selling R&F or whatever and it's all they post about on fb.
Then you will notice later on...magically they no longer talk about it anymore.

My husband and I were at dinner once a couple years ago and overheard these guys at a table near us trying to recruit another guy to sell some sort of energy drink thing. They are talking about how in no time at all he too could be driving a BMW around.

My husband and I were entertained that night and just wanted to bust out laughing at how obvious it was that it was all a scam. Felt bad for the guy being pitched cause he seemed to be falling for it.

you're missing a fundamental difference. There are expected levels of intrusion. This falls outside of those.

It would bug the frick out of you if someone you cared about kept trying to sell you Pepsi

a miracle drink that became hot in 2013-ish

you could get a Limu BMW if you got to 3rd base or something

...really they leased a BMW in your name and paid the monthly lease and if your level dropped...you were stuck on the lease

It could have even been that. I just remember it was some drink.

And that the guy was being pitched at the Oregano's on Shea/Scottsdale Rd.
