Gonna be a lot of pissed off rednecks and forty-something year old women looking to lasso them a young calf.
Personally, thank god. That place was a shithole.

The reasoning for closing hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the incident that left one Barksdale airman dead in a parking lot scuffle probably didn’t help matters.

Damn, that place was awesome as Cowboys in the 80's.

This is an outrage.

Does anyone know who owns it currently?

Had some awesome nights there. Also had too many fights in the parking lot.

No clue, but bossier/Shreveport nightlife has taken a big downhill turn as of recently.
Eta: At least Bossier's favorite bar, Bilbo's, is still kicking. If that place closes there goes the neighborhood hahaha

Lol that parking lot was the perfect parking lot to fight in. Plenty of space.

Did I miss something? When was it thriving?

Was just in there this past Friday and it was honestly a pretty shitty place. Had potential but shitty.

Why you got such a hard on for Bossier/Shreveport? Every time there's a thread about it you come in guns blazing.

made the Paul Harvey show, because of it he proclaimed Bossier City as the Herpes capitol of the country

If you didn't go there, which it appears that you didn't, why does it matter to you if it closed?
ETA Read that back and it sounds dickish, don't mean it to be, actually wondering.

I went a couple weeks ago, there was like 20 people in there. And this was like 10 pm on a Friday night.

I used to go and the people that started going there became more and more undesirable.

Cowboys was pretty popular at one time. Not Gilleys famous but people around the country knew about it. It was the place to go if you were young and wanted to find someone to take home.
Shreveport/Bossier always had great nightlife, from the Strip through the Square clubs and Cowboys of the 70's and 80's. It's nothing like it once was.

Yep, and Cowboys was the epicenter.

I'm younger than all y'all, early 20's. But at one point did they used to have live music? Seems like that would help them out a whole lot if they did.
