maybe that was the plan

they had a lift plan, contrary to your "guarantee".
theyd never have gotten this far without one

I wonder if he's trying to beat a hole around the bolt through that base and just leave the bolt there.

It'd be awesome if that statue had to stay up tonight.

If that happens you can expect massive crowds over the weekend.

this is not an altruistic gesture that's going on.

Never said it was.

But I'm not displeased with the result. And the handwringing from some of these posters is amusing.

Under the folded arms....don't think they need a plan to remember that?

Looked like ties under the plywood

Is it going to pissed you off when they get down 4 statues with no incident?

Which is what exactly? Has Lee moved?

All they did was run up a few guys in a manlift.

They will get it down tonight if they just pull it down.

They do NOT want the full weight of white working people out there on a Saturday. I didn't go today, but if the thing is still up tomorrow, I fricking might.

I will do everything in my power to never go to that city again. What good is removing these statues going to do. Solve crime.....stop murders?

Agree to an extent about them being responsible by making decision to go up there... but they shouldn't have to take the full ownership on the project. That's a management decision. If they aren't competent then it was a bad management decision to use them vs. a competent bunch. That in combination with lack of plan, process, and the pressure profile, it's a management problem, no doubt.
