Is the crane fully extended? It doesn't look like it will be tall enough once the slack is taken out of the strap.

T-bird you know you're my baw, but this is not an altruistic gesture that's going on.

The North owned slaves before the South, & the North had no interest in abolishing slavery until they had the technological means to replace the labor. It's shitty both the north & south had slaves, but the fact is the North cared not for the plight of the South or the slaves, who were in an entirely agricultural economy.

They offered no detailed plan to transition from slavery, and if anything, their power grab put those enslaved at risk of being homeless with no means to provide for themselves.

If they really cared, they would of had a PLAN to ease the impact on the South's economy, but they were more worried about the South currying favor from European countries & reacted hastily plunging the country into war.
