If he donated $10million to Brother Martin then how does that school still look like a dump.

He's prob the most influential sports figure in this states history. He kept the team here and won a Superbowl.

1) not a dump
2) they have not spent it all yet
3) profit?

Chouest and ECO are worldwide buddy. It's more than 3 BB. A good bit more. Not to mention the tons of other companies they own.

it’s an eye sore
But to be fair, besides a few uptown schools most HS’s in the city are eye sores.

Gary Chouest is a partner with his siblings in ECO. They are privately held and do not disclose financials. Neither you nor I know their value.
The Houma is strong in this one.

I mean, aside from Holy Cross' new campus and maybe Newman, which are more "attractive"?
Also, have any of you been back recently? They have completed and are continuing with many facility improvements.

I was thinking more of less ASH and McGhee, forget about new Holy Cross. Driving by BM it looks the same it has looked for year. Though, I have not been inside there.

The Saints were a joke when Tom Benson bought them. He built a champion. RIP Mr Benson

They have not changed the front, which is "common" looking.
They have replaced the old Brother's residence with a new classroom building for math and Science, it's nice. They have a new Chapel out back which is visually stunning. There is a new band and athletic complex behind the old Gym which is cool inside. Beautification work in the greenspace behind the "Mall". Baseball field across the street in that green space they acquired while I was there. Football no longer practices behind the school, I think they go across the street, which allows them to keep that field nice.
There are plans to expand the mall, and open it up to the green space in back with a huge glass wall. Plans to move and expand the library (which was shameful). Architectural renderings look nice.
Note: I went to an open house with my son. I kept thinking it looked much better than when I attended.
Anyway: RIP Mr. Benson.

Yeah, they could rename them the Raiders too!

You are right about this, but you are obviously oblivious to the company's size and scope. And again we're only talking about the work boat portion of their business. We're not even talking about all of the other things the family is involved in.
Of course your typical New Orleanian would never believe that someone from Galliano could be richer than one of their own

Thankfully Tagliabue stopped him.
