Little Fauss and Big Halsy wasn't one of his better movies. But in this scene, he has everything handled.

I met him up at Bear Claw Cabin back in the 90s. He said "All my friends call me Bob.". So we were friends.

Redford was also big in the indie movie scene.

He helped movies like Beasts of the Southern Wild through his Sundance Institute which helped in scripting the movie.

Beasts of the Southern Wild which was mainly shot in Terrebonne Parish and was nominated for several Academy Awards, won the Caméra d'Or award at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, and helped to start the movie career of a 9 year old Quvenzhané Wallis to be the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Thanks! That is Carl Akeley who invented modern taxidermy. He killed the Leopard bare-handed when it attacked him in the bush. Great book about him but I can’t remember the name. The book Crow Killer about Liver-Eating Johnson is a great read also. Real Mountain Man.

Nobody’s mentioned his version of The Great Gatsby. Another of my favorites that he did.
