Eh I'm fine with this. Police can still ask individuals or do actual work and get a warrant.
A few more inspection sticker tickets in the White neighborhoods per month should cover it.

I think people are misunderstanding what footage the police were taking.
They weren’t grabbing videos directly off your camera.
They were grabbing video publicly posted to the neighborhood app that ring has available.
For those without ring, imagine YouTube except only people within a couple of miles of you can post videos from their ring cameras.
Lots of car break ins and attempted house break ins get posted there. Ring will no longer allow the police to just grab the video. If you publicly post the video, the police shouldn’t need a warrant to download it.
This isn’t a good thing and we are making it harder to catch criminals in the name of equity.

Yeah they knew a PP hitting our neighborhood by name and knew where it lived.

mid-2022, Ring disclosed it handed over 11 videos to police without notifying users that year due to “exigent or emergency” circumstances
I didn't think they notified any user anytime they turned over video. When did exigent or emergency circumstances trump your rights?

ok so police see the video posted as before, now they have to contact the person who posted it....who cares? that is their job.

I took ours out. I am not going to be a snitch. Snitches get stitches.

The King has No Clothes for the 2020's is the various theories that stopping the broadcast of or publication of photos or descriptions of black criminals will make people think that all races commit crimes at an equal percentage rate.
