Anyone have experience with trying to return a clearance display item with Sam's? We bought a 65" TV today, took it home, and the display doesn't work anymore. There is a crack behind the front screen.

Their website doesn't mention floor items and there was a long wait for a call.

As long as I've had a receipt, I have never had any kind of trouble returning something to Walmart or Sam's. I dont think it being a display item matters.

Given a 65” tv... did you break it on the commute?

So you broke it on the way home and don't want to pay for your mistake?

If necessary, buy new one put broken one in box and return for refund.

Won’t work.I tried it with a printer/copier that I lost the receipt to. They check the serial numbers not just the box.

....which makes me wonder why I still need a receipt if they can look it up that way.
