Oswald was the Patsy and when he realized he was setup he panicked.

If anyone would do a deep dive into Oswald's character you might be a little surprised.
-While in junior high, in New York City, he would routinely skip school and hang out with friends at the Zoo.
-While living in New Orleans he moved like a dozen times.
- He was a Marine that renounced his citizenship only to move to Russia
,how many Marines renounce their citizenship?
- Protested in downtown New Orleans for communist Cuba ? What benefit
did he think he would get from doing that?

Point is that Oswald was an unstable flake. And I believe that these characteristics illustrate that he did not have the courage to kill a US President. He was drawn into the assassination scheme but did not realize that he was being used until it was too late. He probably believed that it was all play acting.

What is really chilling about the assassination of President Kennedy is that someone had the balls to shoot and kill the president in broad daylight in front of hundreds of witnesses like they were trying to sending a message loud and clear , " look we can do this in front of everyone and you can't do anything about it" type of message.

Also , why was Dan Rather in front of the Texas School Book Depository when the president was going to make his remarks at the Trade Mart ?
