These road projects have got to be money laundering schemes. They make no sense at all.

The reality is by Louisiana Law DOTD has to accept the lowest bid. You get what you pay for. I think the original contractor went bankrupt.

Been waiting for a legislator to stop bitching (which appears to be easier) and pass a law to fix this. Florida has a penultimate bidding process where the next to lowest contractor is selected. Forces more realistic bids.

They should hire whoever did the roundabout at Lockhart and Eden church. Those guys knocked that thing out.

The traffic light at Central Woods sucked anyway. In the morning time it always changes for absolutely no reason and you have to sit there and waste your damn time waiting for it to change again

The I-10 / I-610 merge in Metairie comes to mind.

That’s so pathetic.

There is zero reason that that’s road should take that long

It took 5 years to build the “New Bridge” in the 1960’s

Here we are in the next century and they are at 15 plus years to widen a half mile stretch of road

1/2 mile stretch of road at a cost of almost $12 million
what is labor costing per hour there. Like 13 cents?

The 610/59 intersection in Houston by the Galleria has been under construction seemingly since I've had a driver's license.
