Long story short, the jackasses just bought my previous dumpster company. Service seems ok, but the biz end (biling/customer service) is absolute crap. Anyone else seeing this?

They are a shite show and the only game in town to pick up my business waste. I am on autopay where they draft my checking each month. They routinely forget to pick up my trash but they never fail to send me an email saying that I haven't paid my bill that they autodraft.
What morons.

That’s happened to me before and I finally got someone on the phone and they did credit me back.
They are pretty poorly ran though.

I just fired them. Have a different company starting next week. New company already dropped off their can. Republic will be 2 weeks before they come get theirs they say

Republic canceled their recycling services then tried to charge me like $46 for them to come pick up the recycling can wtf?

Read the contract in how to cancel and on how to handle missed service.
They missed me a few times and I sent a certified letter to the address on the contract every time they missed. Once I had three times of bad service I cancelled by the rules.
They tried to threaten take me to court and I replied to their letter with copies of the certified letters complaining of bad service.
They left me alone after that.
If you do not have a signed contract with them then I would read your old contract and see what it says about changes in company who provides the service.

They are scam artists. Lock you into a long contract and raise the fees every month. It got to where my one trash can was costing $350/month and no way to bail on the contract. They have an auto renew clause in there that goes for three years at the end of every month. $128 per month diesel recovery fee on a trash service that was $58. Also stacked several other fees. I have all the receipts and will likely file a class action suit bc they’ve done it to thousands of people. Super shady. Get out now.

How they get you is if you stick with the service after your initial 3 or 5 yrs.
I believe if you read you contract after your initial 3 or 5 yrs depending on company if you do not cancel it the service automatically renews.
I always cancel mine during the period stated on the contract and shop around for the best deal. Put this is your calendar on your computer.

They handle our garbage pickup and they are horrible. They rarely completely empty the cans. 75% of the time they toss the can on it’s side in the street. And their truck leave huge grease spots on the street in front of every house they service.
