Replacing freon in my AC unit. Can I do this myself?

That’s what I’ve figured based on the quick research I’ve done into it. Just figured I’d ask before I get railroaded

Wear safety glasses. My dad's Uncle only has one eye. The other one is white as a sheet where freon dripped in it.

With the fan running you just pour it into the top of the unit.

Crazy that people pay people to do this for them.

I recently paid $60 lb. for #22. Total bill was $235 for 2.5 lbs and system check.

I've made so much money flushing/recharging blinker fluid I can't spend it fast enough.
