Angelle had no intention of running for governor because he didn't have the support. He raised a bunch of money from the very electorate that also supported Vitter.

I can say with 100% certainty that Angelle was looking to use the Congressional seat to keep himself politically relevant and use it as a springboard for another run for Governor in 2019.

It's the same play Bobby Jindal used after he lost 2003 to Blanco where he ran for Congress in Kenna brah in 2004 and then Governor in 2007. It was so obvious. Angelle just can't stand not sucking on the public tit as the dude has been running for everything.

His political career is dead now and good riddance to that turncoat.

Honestly, what the hell did Angelle expect after pulling a grandstanding stunt like he did in 2015 letting JBE win? That it was just going to be water under the bridge like nothing happened and the GOP power players in the state was just going to leave him alone? How stupid was he?

There was always going to be a blowback against him when things calm down after 2015 and cooler heads prevail amongst conservatives.

That makes two of us. I haven't heard this kind of shite since the 80's. Eta: After reading it again, I'm on the fence. He cannot write worth a shite, but all of that hunt them and kill them stuff is directed towards the "radicalized Islamic suspect."

And besides, Clay has been pretty decent in Congress and he's already got quite a few bills passed and hasn't really pissed of his base voting for something he shouldn't be voting for.

This Facebook post should piss them off. Dude wouldn't be qualified to be president of the HOA at his trailer park and he's a congressmen

He's basically your drunk uncle who spent a summer watching Band of Brothers and Cops marathons and now he's a congressman, so that's neat.

So the answer you arrive at is to kill them all? Basically adopt their philosophy but use it in our "righteous" fight against murderers?

Does any of this strike you as flawed logic?

We dropped a nuclear weapon on the Japanese without killing them all, but they sure as hell gave up. We haven't had anything but peace with them ever since.

Unfortunately, there are entire countries in this world whose populations only understand one thing: overwhelming force. So be it.

Ok, I see your point here, but what good is saying it on the side? People in this country need to wake up. They want to and will kill us as fast as they can get a chance they don't care what you are man, woman, or child. I hate to say this, but of course I will, what if there was one or several of the attacks here on American soil like the ones that have happened in England over the last several weeks? Do you think it would matter to all those folks out there hollering about having open borders and being all in love with those types of folks? Man, the time for being politically correct is long gone. Its time to stand up and get the job done and thankfully we have someone in the White House who will, and not give away all that America has to those unwilling to work to have it, and would rather lay on my leg while I am working everyday. Kind of went on 2 different subjects here, but man I am sick and tired of working my arse off and those on the government teet sit and do nothing all day while checking the mail once a month for a check. I do see your point about on the side, just cannot make myself agree with it. No hard feelings though.

Besides him basically reiterating the Trump message that gets people all butthurt, Higgins has actually done a good job of listening to his constituents. He doesn't know a lot about business or LA industry, but he sure listens well.

He just doesn't know much about anything other than Law enforcement. But he's definitely trying to understand what makes the world go round in LA. If you take him as he is, and understand who he really is, hes not a bad guy. Im not saying he should be governor or anything, but hes doing a decent job so far.
