Renovations/construction-related costs coming down?

During Covid, it seemed prices of home renovations, fencing, related construction, etc., were high. Is anyone seeing any downward movement in prices? TIA

Nope, costs are still solidly in DIY territory here.

Lumber came down. Nothing else did, including labor.

Lumber has come down a little, as have cold formed metal studs. Drywall is up about 11%, suspended ceilings are up from 9% to 17% depending on the manufacturer. Insulation is getting higher by the minute with lead times stretching out as far as eight to ten weeks. Labor is up about 5% as well.
This is only from my perspective as a commercial drywall and framing contractor. I'm certain that other trades are seeing material and labor increases pretty much across the board as well. We're also having to increase our mark-ups and margins in order to be prepared to purchase materials and pay for labor on upcoming projects that we are just now bidding.
It's amazing how much it has changed in less than two years.
