They have retained the counsel of one James Williams, esq. for both incidents.

I'm just telling you that no administrator is going to back you if you embarrass or challenge or provoke a kid in front of his/her peers and the kid lashes out at you. They'll say that you have to be the adult in the situation and not lower yourself to their level. I'm not saying I agree with it, but that's the truth of the situation. I'm sure this coach was in the heat of the moment and adrenaline was pumping and he said some things he shouldn't have said. Unfortunately those comments were caught on video and he lost his job because of it. Had he just restrained the girl without making the comments I have no doubt he would've kept his job, because I've been in multiple similar situations.

Sometimes loud profanities can get attention quicker than someone just trying to physically stop someone. I’d rather an administrator yell to sit the f down or I’ll drop you than let a kid catches beating while the administration tries to break it up. Especially if it isn’t common for the administrator to use that language. Wonder if race had anything to do with it?

Actually, you're told not to get between two kids who are fighting. You are supposed to just yell for them to stop. If you choose to get involved and separate/restrain them, they let you know ahead of time that there could be repercussions and to be very careful with your actions. You'll never see an administrator worth his/her salt use profanity during a hostile situation. Not to mention, that guy was a coach, not an administrator.

And because of the weather and the holiday they weren't letting them bond out until Tuesday.

It's a little suspicious that the police chief isn't aware of what investigation the charge is for.
