I see this bullshite all the time. Nobody knows, or could even come close with a guess, at the actual figure for either. Especially if you believe that the universe is infinite.

It's pretty easy to come up with a guess. Lots of people have done it. If you think the universe is infinite then there's no question there are more stars than grains of sand.

Well, to be fair, your link is talking about "beaches". I said "grains of sand on earth". Theres a lot of grains of sand below the water on this planet. How deep does all the sand go? I imagine it's probably different in lots of places.

Then there's the whole erosion thing. Do we know how many grains of sand are being produced every day? I'd like to know that number. Of course, it would have to take into account beaches and, you know, the other 99 percent of the planet. Above, or under water.

Let's not forget deserts either.

I can grasp that despite both galaxies having billions of bodies (stars, planets, satellites, comets, asteroids, etc.), a collision is still highly unlikely.

But won't there be cases of gravity disrupting shite?
