1. There were no fatties wearing masks.

2. The sliced brisket sandwich is far better than most service station food. It’s not the best I’ve had, but the sandwich had all nicely-barked slices and they didn’t sneak any fat in there. I suspect the chopped brisket would be more fatty.

3. My 7yo & 10yo had a great time looking at all the snacks and Buccee’s merch.

4. The restrooms are even better than I expected. It was like 20 individual restrooms inside a restroom. Bravo to their architects & planners on this one.
Sparkling clean.

5. Everything was sparkling clean…even the coffee area.

6. Employees are up to Chic-fil-a standards.
All were nice, helpful, and looked like they probably haven’t spent time in prison.

7. Their coffee is pretty solid.

Dislikes:
1. Yankees…lots of yankees headed to & from Florida.

2. A lot of pumps were out of order.

A family from my kids’ school had driven the 2 hours down to Athens just to visit Buccee’s. They were having a good time and were loaded down with snacks.

I don’t know that I’m as crazy for it as many as I wouldn’t make it a destination. However, it’s definitely worth the stop if you’re passing by.

No beef jerky? No Beaver nuggets?

No “Honk if you love Beaver” bumper sticker?

Why’d you even go then?

Is that a dislike too? Hating on them for being able to spend more?

It’s normally pretty busy and always a madhouse on holidays and weekends but I like stopping there. The trail mix is very good and I always get a jalapeño sausage kolache

My treat was a brisket sandwich.

I went with some caramel popcorn as my sweet.

I swear the BBQ in the Texas Buccee's is better. The smoked turkey sandwiches are awesome!

I went to bucees and there were weaves in the parking lot and gum all over the ground. Then they made me pull up for the spicy

I’m going to racetrack from now on

Reason 1 it will never survive in Louisiana: cleanliness.
