It doesn't seem like Assad cares too much about others opinions.

Of course he does, just like we do but we still conduct operations that we know will inflict collateral damage in our war efforts. Too much international condemnation can lead to foreign powers intervening against you. Too much loss of political capital in your war conduct, or perception there of, can cost you in regards to your domestic political support. That Assad has been willing to accept great collateral damage in his efforts to defeat the rebels does not indicate that he therefore has no concerns regarding this. Victory, of course, holds supremacy in all or nothing military struggles.

There will be a segment on Syria tonight on 60 mins. This is a serious issue and I am surprised we don't hear more about it.

How is it that I'm so fortunate to have been born HERE and not THERE or any of the other places where this type of atrocity happens daily??

The Liberals on this board ares specifically wondering: How did a bunch of WHITE MEN create a peaceful sustainable republic where all races and religions can live together... I mean, after all, we're a bunch of violent, hateful, evil son-of-bitches and the root of all that it bad in the world.

But in the triumvirate of them, ISIS, and Assad, I suppose they are the lesser of three legit evils.

No, Assad is the lesser evil of them all. That region of the earth is full of mindless, brainwashed, evil and barbaric people and it takes a strong tyrannical dictator to keep them in line and quiet.

When tyrants are keeping the mideast quiet and and orderly, the world is much safer and more peaceful.
