well ya, its obvious he planned to rape her, but that said.
i think its absurd they charged him with attempted rape since he never touched her. you cant charge people with crimes based on what you "thought" they were going to do unless you can demonstrate the physical attempt to actually do them was committed.
he could have been there just to murder her yet he wasnt charged with that, all im saying is, they cant "honestly" charge him with rape any more then they can charge him with murder unless he confessed to it or left a letter explaining what he was going to do
