I didn't even get knocked out for this. Just got some lidocaine injections in my gums.
This is how I roll. You're not knocking me out. I want to keep an eye on you.

No indeed. Have you ever seen the surgery? They cut your gums and then take this miniature crow bar and pop those suckers out or they section a tooth by cutting it in pieces and removing it piece by piece.

I just had all four of mine out, wanted no part of feeing or remembering due to the above. Procedure was great, recovery sucks though I only used the ibuprofen.

OP, just call and ask. Would be weird to restrain you by your neck, so I doubt that’s what happened. If it doesn’t hurt to the touch maybe it’s some sort of reaction to something like the PPE they put on you

They mainlined me with Morphine, mine were impacted and buddy they did not want to come out. I flashed back to Vietnam and those two doctors could not finish up fast enough

I’m a dentist. It’s a hematoma. That’s where gravity pooled the blood. Nothing actually happened to your neck. It’ll go away shortly. Nothing you can do to prevent those. Just happens sometimes.

Yes, they have to yank the hell out of your teeth to get them out. I was awake during mine, but heavily drugged. I remember feeling my head jerking forward and he pulled.

Wow...I guess wisdom teeth that are impacted are MUCH harder to remove cause my mouth was jacked up for a few days after I had them removed.

My situation wasn't a completely uncomplicated teenage thing. I showed up at the dentist at age 37 begging for him to help me. One of my wisdom teeth was impacted.

That said, had all four of them been impacted, then maybe he would have knocked me out. Anything x4 is just that much worse.

That’s a footprint where he braced himself to pull.

This makes me feel better. I do look like I had a really wild night with the way the bruising runs. I’ve had a few people ask what I’ve been up to.

My bottom two were impacted and running perpendicular to the rest of my teeth. They were also completely encased in my jaw bone. Once they pointed that out and mentioned a drill and having to cut the teeth into sections, I was like screw the injections, go ahead and knock me out.
