I got dropped from jury duty, but I wasn’t even trying to get dropped.
I told them I’ve just always wanted to be a part of sending a random innocent man to prison for life. That kind of power just gets me hard.

When I was in operations you received your full pay minus the $19 a day you received for jury duty. Every plant I worked in was the same unless you were a contract worker.

I walk into jury duty and yell give him the death penalty. Gets me out of it every time.

I’m not hourly, but I got picked for Grand Jury duty once. 8:00-11:30, M,T & TH for 3 months.
I worked for UnitedHealth at the time, so they had policies in place and I still got paid...plus I made that sweet $10/day the state pays.

I thought everyone got paid their salary for jury duty unless you work at McDonald's

I’m 27, never have been picked for jury duty.

How does one not get out of jury duty?

I work in a plant. Our policy is that the employee still gets paid straight time for jury duty. No PTO required.
No OT pay.
