Before my insurance rate went sky high, I was pretty calm, after my kid got added to the insurance is when I freaked out.

We lived way out in the country and my dad used to let me drive 30 minutes to the nearest store after dark on the weekends to get a Mountain Dew when I was 13.
So I'm guessing it didn't bother them too much. He was drinking a lot at the time; that may have had something to do with it.

I did freak out about the driving, but it was way worse when he went to school for the first time.
I stayed home and moped for a week.
