Question for OT DIY Gurus

Have any of you converted from an electric range to a gas range?
My biggest issue is picking up the gas line drop. Closest place is in an area of the attic without much head room for sliding a joint of pipe down the wall.
Anyone ever use this product before?
Flexible Gas Line
Any code issues I should be wary of?

Don't know about where you are, but you'll want to verify first that you have adequate gas pressure to operate the range. If you were in NYC you would have to file a gas load letter with ConEd, and they would tell you if there's adequate service for the range. If you don't do this there's the possibility that inadequate gas pressure will self extinguish pilot burners, causing all sorts of problems.
Also, you'll need to install a gas cock (
Eta:flexible gas pipe should be fine once you install the gas cock.

Gas go boom boom.
Make sure you do it right and check for leaks.

I built my house 12 years ago and code was all gas lines in the house walls & attic need to be black iron pipe or similar rigid pipe. Reason being don't want to shoot nails in a wall and puncture a gas line. Gas line requirement are as per a local code.
