Park a trailer there and top it off with an old washer and dryer. Let the weeds grow back.

Nothing but weeds or creeping red is going to grow in a sunless alley. Forget the stupid veggie box posts. Sod post also can be thrown out. Unless this fence and house are at the perfect angle to the sun between the Spring and Summer equinox.
