Jealousy is a strong emotion. It evokes feelings of insecurity, so people's first reaction is denial of whatever it is that is causing their fear and insecurity. It's humorous to post simple facts that would pass for nothing more than casual conversation amongst one's peers, then sit back and watch the reactions that jealousy incites from one's inferiors. There's a place for trolling on the internet, but trolling with truth is a true art - it's not about fabrication, it's about the setup.
