I have a 2010 Traverase wife tried to start tonight. Turned key lots of clicks then released key but continued to click. So later in night I went out to SUV door lock won't open with remote entry . I used key to get in . Nothing is on no juice. Also key won't come out ignition. Any ideas what's wrong beside bad choice of vehicle.

Dead battery

Cause could be battery or alternator not charging.

Maybe it was a defective battery. Bring it back where you bought it and see if they’ll exchange it

Doesnt matter, start with the battery and work from there. Can you jump it off?

It's a dead battery.

Could also be a loose connection. But something is causing the battery not to charge.

Jump it off. If it keeps running with the lights on and ac running without jumper cables hooked up it's the battery.

Is the battery swollen?

There will be jump points under the hood, even though the battery is under the back seat.

Dark outside and it has me pissed off . Lol Life happens. So if I can jump it off then what's that mean. Also why would that not let key be released from ignition

Corrosion inside battery terminal. Clean out, you can even use Coke cola, and try again.

Ok guys traverse jumped off my other car. Took cables off and it continued to run so does that mean it's not starter? I had AC and lights on and lights looked like they were very bright also key came out ignition

Could still be the battery. Or the connections.

I know a girl who has gone thru 5 batteries in 4 years in her car.

My challenger did that a month or so back, except it's push start so key didn't get stuck. Turned out to be a loose connection at the jump terminal under the hood.

Starter wouldnt be causing your keyless entry not to work. Definitely battery related, either bad connection or bad battery

based on what you described, I would say that the new battery is bad. go ahead and take it back to the folks that sold it to you. hope the battery is bad and not some wiring problem pulling it down.
