Question about Jeff Davis Parish

Jennings and surrounding areas - is this area very Cajun these days, or no? Never been there and from looking at a map it looks like this is where things would start getting Texas-ish. Not sure if this is still really part of Acadiana even though it is historically. tia

I agree. Grew up in Welsh, and still visit there quite often. I wouldn't say the French culture is too prevalent. It does seem like the farther you get away from the Basin, both West and East, the Cajun culture falls off pretty quick.

Yea I wouldn't really say Jeff Davis is too Cajun cultured. It isn't completely absent though.
