How do they afford them? If they are homeless, jobless, and druggies... how do these individuals afford to buy tents?

you can get camping tents from Walmart for like $20

I see lots of "Will work for a tent" signs.

A lot of that stuff is donated.

The homeless people don't actually have tents, the same way a hermit crab doesn't have a shell. They simply inhabit it until they outgrow it and then find another more suitable tent for the next stage of their homelessness while another homeless person will come to claim their old tent. It's the circle of life.

The buttplugs in San Francisco probably tax the shite out of their citizens to give them the money.

people will stop and drop off tents, chairs and beds to homeless people. they do it with good intentions, thinking they're being good Samaritans. they're making things worse, not better.

The best tents come from gated communities.
Nice, large, roomy, fresh, no mold or mildew.

Also, a lot of homeless people get checks (VA, disability, etc...), but they don't use the money for rent.

A phenomenon that surprises me is the number of homeless people that come to the Florida Keys for the winter and then leave when it gets hot towards the summer. Our homeless population doubles during the winter. It’s as if two guys are sitting under a bridge (or a tent) in Chicago right now discussing their plans for the winter.
